Terms and Conditions/Disclaimer

By using this website, you agree to the terms and conditions below and note the legal liability limitations.

The Grandview Heights Stewardship Association (hereafter GHSA) is an information-sharing and educational advocacy group comprised of volunteers for environmental and urban sustainable stewardship. It makes every effort to ensure that website visitors are kept up-to-date on its latest activities. In doing so, we go to great length to ensure the accuracy of the information posted. However, it must be noted that there may be instances where information is not as current as it can possibly be. As a non-profit community/stewardship association, our members are volunteers and taxpayers, exercising a right to inform, assist and advocate.

Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances, including, but not limited to, negligence shall the GHSA be liable for any direct, indirect, special, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of, or the inability to use, the website and/or the materials. The opinions and writings of the GHSA as expressed on the website in all sections (with the exception of the blog, social media, and journalistic “letters to the editor”) are not politically directed and are agreed upon by the Board of Directors. Where individual members of the Association or of the community write blogs posted on the GHSA website, submit commentary to media, or share opinion on GHSA-interested areas, they do so as individual members of the community and the GHSA is not responsible and does not endorse their statements although it may share them on the website or via social media. In this sense, members and directors of the GHSA are sensitive to conflict of interest and make every effort to avoid such when speaking for or about the Association. Individual members and directors of the GHSA are entitled to their constitutional right to participate in business, City/Provincial/Federal political activities but when doing so outside the area of the GHSA, do so personally and not under the inferred and actual liability protection of the Association. The GHSA reserves the right to request information from political candidates, land development businesses and government in order to enable its membership to form their own opinions and future actions.
